Tom Brady is leaving the New England Patriots and DeAndre Hopkins is a Cardinal. The NFL Futures Effect.

The Super Bowl Odds in Vegas have spiraled into chaos like Ronnie + Nicole + shots (I’m not bingeing Jersey Shore Family Vacation). DraftKings, FanDuel and every other sportsbook are trying to figure out what to do with the news that Tom Brady will play for a new team.

At BeTMGM Sportsbook they have taken the Super Bowl Odds off the board. Like some other sportsbooks, MGM might be choosing a wait and see strategy as Brady and other free agents could move the needle considerably. Instead, BetMGM is offering a NFL Special on Tom Brady’s Next Team. Here are the odds on where Tom Brady will play next.

The odds on Brady indicate that a deal with Tampa Bay is highly likely. Could it be done deal with the Bucs? Maybe not. The Raiders at 7 to 1 means there must be some smoke around Tom Brady headlining in Vegas. Also, the Niners at 25 to 1 is interesting. Could Tom and Jimmy G swap coasts?

DraftKings SportsBook Has 2020 Super Bowl Odds

The Patriots are +14 to 1 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 33 to 1. Let’s just assume that both of these numbers will move drastically in opposite directions. Assuming that the Patriots don’t make a free agency splash for their next QB, their odds to win the big game in 2021 will grow closer to 30 to 1.

For the Buccaneers it’s a matter of closing a deal with Brady for their odds to move from middle of the road to top-ten Super Bowl contender.

So, if you think Brady will go to the Bucs. And you think #12 joining up with weapons like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin will lead to an NFL Championship, then now is the time to bet this NFL future.

The Buccaneers are 20 to 1 to win the NFC Championship and 5 to 1 to win the NFC South at DK Sportsbook.

Tom Brady’s next team looms over the Buffalo’s Super Bowl odds too.

The Bills saw some notable line shifting after landing Stefan Diggs from the Vikings. Back in the first week of February, the bills were 35 to 1 to win the Super Bowl at Draftkings Sportsbook. With Diggs, the Bills have moved up to 30 to 1.

The number on the Bills to win it all is likely to shift once Brady lands with a new team. Will he stay in the AFC East and sign with the Dolphins? Or will Brady move out of the AFC all together and land with the Buccaneers?

Brady going to Tampa would surely move the Bills closer to 20 to 1. Their path to the division title would look easier with QB insecurity in New England.

But, If Brady goes to the Dolphins, the Bills could possibly move above their original 35 to 1 price.

Not surprisingly, AFC East Odds are off the board right now at DraftKings.

The Texans traded Hopkins for Johnson and their Super Bowl Odds don’t really care that much.

The Arizona Cardinals made big NFL news by trading David Johnson for DeAndre Hopkins. Adding the star wideout moved the odds considerably for AZ.

Before the Hopkins trade, Arizona was 66 to 1 to win the 2021 NFL Championship. After the trade, Arizona dropped all the way to 40 to 1 at DraftKings.

On the other hand, Houston only moved from 33 to 1 to 40 to 1 after trading away their best offensive weapon. It’s hard to imagine why this number didn’t move more on the Texans.

Perhaps the media has been quick to undervalue David Johnson in this deal?

The oddsmakers might have the inside information to know that Johnson will make a big impact for the Texans, and we shouldn’t judge based on his lackluster performance in 2020 in return from injury.

Also, could the Texans have plans to find another number one wideout to replace Hopkins? 40 to 1 (+4000) might be a good value on Houston if you think Bill O’Brian has a plan that could come together.

Hopkins to Arizona also caused a big shift for Kyler Murray as an NFL MVP candidate. Before Hopkins, Kyler was 33 to 1 to win the award. Now he is 25 to 1.

Our Take: Bet this number on Kyler if you don’t know that Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, DeShaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers exist in this world.
