Golf Betting keeps growing as the PGA Tour gets another Sportsbook partner.

The PGA Tour has announced a multi-year deal with PointsBet, making the sportsbook an Official Betting Operator. The partnership includes content and marketing tie-ins.

Details of the new PGA Tour Sportsbook Partnership

By joining the Tour’s Official Betting Operator program, PointsBet will get rights in the US to use PGA TOUR logos plus content and video rights. This will allow PointsBet to create pre-game and post-game betting content, and to deliver tournament highlight to users who have placed bets. 

Additionally, the PGA Tour and PointsBet will collaborate to deliver odds-based golf content to fans via TOUR Digital Platforms like PGATOUR.COM and the PGA TOUR app.

The PGA Tour is protecting its integrity with US Sportsbook partnerships.

Following the Supreme Court’s repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act in 2018, the TOUR instituted an integrity program. The program protects its competitions from betting-related corruption. Later that year, the Tour announced a global partnership with IMG ARENA to license its official, live scoring data to betting operators all over the world.

By collaborating with sportsbook operators, The Tour is increasing it’s ability to monitor data for breaches in the integrity of its events.

PointsBet is currently licensed for sports betting in three states: New Jersey, Indiana and Iowa. It will soon launch in Illinois, Colorado and Michigan. PointsBet has additional market access agreements in Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New York, Ohio and West Virginia subject to enabling legislation and regulatory approvals.
