It took 10 weeks for ESPN to get a marquee matchup on MNF and it could be the biggest game of the weekend tonight in Santa Clara, California.
The 8-and-0 Niners host the 7-2 Seahawks in an NFC West show down. We know MVP candidate Russell Wilson is 7-and-2 on Monday Nights and his TD to Interception rate is a staggering 22/1, but he is 0-2 against top defenses and has been sacked 22 times behind a less than stellar O-Line making his heroics that more impressive.
The bigger problem for Seattle is the Niners incredible D. 30 sacks and the number 1 rated red zone defense in the NFL. San Fran will be missing star tight end George Kittle and kicker Robbie Gould, but have 3 running backs with 300 yards rushing to pound against a suspect Seahawk defense.
The point spread has stayed 6 all week as books are getting enough action on both sides to keep it static. After a Sunday of suprises for the Saints, Chiefs, Rams, Colts and Cowboys, Mr Monday Night gut feeling is Seattle needs this more and should be able to keep it close enough to cover the 6 pt points.
